I was into making some gorgeous night lights! This one is shaped kind of like a butterfly wing.

This one is very interesting and the way the glass decided to mix is especially interesting.

This one reminds me of finger painting but that was not the tecnique.

This one has a big piece of dichroic glass in the center so it reflects a light blue.

Temps here have been in 90s for over the last 50 days. Heat index over 90 and several days over 122. So it has been so hot. But I have been using my kilns anyway. Here are some of my new pieces.

At 1218 degrees this is slumped into the mould!

This should have been on the bottom as the last picture taken @ 1120 degrees!

A work in progress! Ready for the heat up and fuse! Taken up to 1480 degrees and full fused. I did some cold working and I'll show you the before and after pictures.. It's in the kiln now to slump and fire polish.

I have been feeling so stressed lately so I decided to just do what I wanted to do and not what everyone else wants me to do. So first on the list was the I need to get this done items...#1 was taxes! Now that they are done I can breathe and afford to relax a bit. I Have Been So Not On The Computer

Started out in Dec when the desk top computer's mother board fried. Several things started it off but I had no idea these little irritating things would be leading up to the big fry! Now I have my computer back up and running because I found the sales slip for the desktop and it was still under warranty. Dell computer had 7 days before the thing expired. Got on the phone to someone in India and they had someone...(I could not believe it) here to fix my dead computer the next day. How's that for service...No charge. But after several attempt to purchase additional warranty failed...cause they could not get it together about the cost...I said screw this.... and will probably have to get a new computer if it happens again. Mother boards are expensive! like more than 1/2 the cost of this computer.... so anyhow....good to be back but have had company so no work has been done!

Just got home from Michigan and a big spending trip to my favorite glass store.

My Newest Kiln Just Died On Me!

But Paragon came to my rescue! They are suppose to be sending me the parts that I need to fix my kiln. I also had to replace the motor in my band saw! Thanks to Diamond Tech!

But I managed to switch tops with another bottom and continue fusing. These I had finished a few days ago!

Being away is fun but it's time to go back to my creative self. I have to pack up my studio for a move out of the state I presently live in. But we don't have any idea where we will live yet. House is up for sale so when I return from my Fl. trip I have to pack up everything until it is all in the moving van and the house sells so we can move. Hubby is retiring end of April so we are tying up loose ends in preparation for the move.
